Today is my run ragged day, by mid afternoon my energy is zapped and I won't recover until next Thursday when I need to do it all over again! This morning Jesse and I rolled out of bed at 7:22 AM which if it was a day off would have been great but we don't have days off in our household. So Jesse starts to get himself ready for the day as I go along and start prodding the children to get up for day. Jackson gets to the couch in a heap of blankets and with lots of groaning along the way. I immediately have to get him off the couch and get him dressed as he and Jesse leave for school at 7:45 sharp, or at least they are supposed to.
Callie is next she is camping out on my floor and is lucky she wasn't stepped on ten minutes earlier when I jumped out of bed and didn't even notice she was there. She has preschool that starts at 8:15 and which entails me being ready, her being ready, Jesse and Jack out the door, Mason and Miller with dry diapers on , still in jammies. So Callie starts her whole I dont want to go today routine which lasts about all of 15 minutes until I graciously allow her to pick out her outfit for school. Amazingly, she perked right up and started moving. I threw her water bottle in her backpack, whipped up a ponytail on both her and I, pulled up some on the floor clothes just decent enough for me to walk her into class, grabbed me two little boys and raced to the minivan to pack it full with kiddos and screech down the street to preschool.
Phew two kids at school that means only two here when I shower and put on clean clothes for the day! Yay! Except for a minute into the shower my new walking 1 year old has decided the open door to the bathroom means he is invited to come in so he decides to smile at mommy in the shower and push all the shampoo bottles into the tub so mommy can get some exercise by having to avoid getting my toes broken by dropping shampoo. So that minute to myself was over before it ever began unfortunately! :)
Then blow dried my hair with Miller on my lap while having to stop every few minutes to get Miller to let go of the plug and then deal with his mini meltdown because he was told NO! :) Oh if he only knew it is just the beginning of the NO's :)
Then it is time to load them all up and go get Callie from preschool before she freaks out because I am not there before Chapel and we all know she doesn't want to go to Chapel where they sing, dance and have fun. I still don't understand that one! haha
Then drive through Walmart pharmacy line to get my migraine meds, then back to the house for lunch and naps.
So far that is where we are at, do you hear that, is that quiet in the Brown house! ;) ................ Oh I wish actually only 0 children are napping, 2 are resting, and 2 toddlers are exploring. Its the closest to quiet our house will ever be for the 18 + years!
But I wouldn't have it any other way :)
